How A Bizarre Workout Video Caused "Fairy God Parents" And Denzel Crocker To Trend

Normally, a kooky workout video wouldn't be cause for a 20-year old cartoon to trend, but, as I'm sure you're aware, these are unprecedented times, and that's exactly what happened this morning.

It started when Twitter user @Warrioxv13 posted a video of his unique workout routine, which sees him launching himself off the ground with a super-charged pushup and scuttling along the floor like a bug. Bizarre-looking, but undeniably impressive.

User @voulezjousvent reposted the video and the tweet went viral, gaining over 22,000 retweets and 100,000 likes in less than 24 hours.

A few hours later, Twitter user @j_newlove remarked, "This how Mr Crocker be moving everytime he says 'fairy god parents,'" and Twitter was off to the races.

If you didn't grow up on cartoons in the 2000s, here's a quick refresher: in the TV show The Fairly OddParents, protagonist Timmy Turner had a pair of fairy godparents who would grant his every wish. No one suspected anything except his paranoid teacher Denzel Crocker, who would periodically erupt as he yelled his suspicion of "FAIRY GOD PARENTS" into the void. It looked like this:

After @j_newsome made the comparison between this acrobatic gym-goer and Crocker, Twitter was hit with a wave of nostalgia, leading "FAIRY GOD PARENTS" to trend.

Perhaps more entertaining than the trip down memory lane was the wave of people riding in on their high horse to say "Ackchyually the show is called Fairly OddParents" without knowing what was going on.
