Studying for those tests? Pretending to? With history memes, you can act like you're doing something productive while you're really slacking off. We're not here to judge. We all know what it's like to study (or at least pretend to study), so we also know the feeling of letting your mind wander a little. Who cares about those tests, when you're able to just scroll through some dumb things to laugh at instead? I mean, you should be doing everything you can to not fail that one class, but hey, you've been working hard. It's okay to have a break once in a while to let your brain cells do absolutely nothing. And with the images below, you won't have to think much, but since they're about history, you can technically still claim you're studying. There you go, a guilt-free way to make it through your study session without actually doing anything. Or don't, and get back to work. But you've read this far, so I'm guessing you know, deep down, that the studying isn't going to happen. Take a look at some of our favorite new memes from history fans and fellow procrastinators.

big thonk

actually the crusades were a retaliatory war against the middle east because they were constantly raiding settlements and taking slaves, and the idea that the crusades were unprovoked is post-colonialist historical revisionism.
And I don't think canada never losing a war is very accurate, at least because we're not winning one now

Shrikey

Also, Genghis Khan is usually considered at least a little heroic I think. War crimes were pretty much ubiquitous back then (and still ubiquitous, just less often officially sanctioned) and he was a strategic master.
