American's aren't the only ones emerging back into the world after a long isolation this summer. The "Brood X" cicadas have been hibernating since 2004, and have come out this summer as part of their unique life cycles. Large sections of the U.S. are used to the pestilence and noise of cicadas every summer, but this is something on another level entirely. The cicadas themselves, since they're 17 years out of date, would probably be perplexed by all the memes and tweets made about them, but we've collected them for you to appreciate, and to distract you from the buzzing noise.
