Last month, Mojang hosted its annual mob vote, where players in the Minecraft community get to pick one of three mobs to be added in the next free update to the game. Unlike the others, this vote was a little more controversial, particularly because players were keen on having all three mobs be added in the next update. This led to a massive uproar in the Minecraft community, and eventually, the hashtag "#stopthemobvote" was trending on social media.

Of course, any sort of controversy on the internet doesn't come without its plethora of memes, and Reddit's /r/minecraftmemes was chock-full of them. Being the largest community for people who want to share memes based on their favorite survival game, it was bound to be filled with various memes making light of the entire situation, and more importantly, calling out Mojang for being particularly lazy for only adding one mob in every new update. All in all, this past month has been quite eventful for the subreddit, so here are some of the best memes highlighting the community's thoughts.
