As if Reddit wasn't already full of awkward social interactions, /r/dontyouknowwhoiam is a thing, and it's calling out all of us who don't know who celebrities are. A lot of us don't apparently. Now a new fear has been unlocked in all of us since we don't want to inadvertently offend someone by not realizing who they are. These people didn't seem to care enough to fact-check themselves though.

From ignoring famous people right in front of them to insulting practicing experts in their field for not being knowledgeable enough, people can certainly make fools of themselves quite easily by not knowing who someone is. However, as long as we don't tag someone we don't know in an angry tweet claiming they know nothing about the movie whose script they wrote or a language they speak fluently that we don't understand, we're doing better than these people. Here are some of the best examples of mistaken identity online.
