Kids really say and do the darndest things, especially in the subreddit /r/KidsAreF***ingStupid. When it comes to things like flat-out denying sausage pizza but choosing to swallow AirPods, the evidence is pretty staggering that these young people could use a little bit of help in making decisions. We feel pretty bad for their parents, too, but what exactly could have led to this sort of stuff?

And frankly, we've all been there; none of us were very smart children. Most of us did something dumb at some point, something that keeps us up at night. But these kids took the small-brain stereotype to new levels. Their parents, teachers, disturbed onlookers, or even their future selves ratted them out to the whole internet, and we're very glad they did, because now we can feel better about the mistakes of our own awkward childhoods. Below are 15 of our favorite stories of kids making horrible decisions that will haunt them forever, but we'll never stop laughing at them for it.
