Some memes are meant to make it into the comedy cemetery. Whether they were made with absolutely no effort or a little too much effort, it's easy for a meme to sentence itself to a quick death upon its very creation. When a meme creator does such a horrible job of doing justice to a meme concept, it's known as comedy homicide.

Comedy homicide is not a joke. Millions of memes suffer every year. We can't save them from their inevitable dooms, but we can stare sadly into the abyss of meme death as they trend for all the wrong reasons. These memes could have been funny, but someone wrote a caption or edited them in a way that destroyed all humor. The comedy cemetery is an unforgiving place, especially for memes so bad they were created for the simple purpose of dying when they could have amounted to so much more. These are just a few of those memes, and we feel sorry for their cruel fates.

Like a Boss

Like a boss is a meme we never thought we'd see again in 2022. It used to be popular…over a decade ago. Now, it doesn't make someone seem cooler at all. It's got quite the opposite effect, actually.

Damaged

Emotional damage is a meme and clip that's been catching on in popularity this month. However, it makes a pretty awful meme when used as an empty reaction. It's also horribly overused, as you can see here.

Why Are You Booing Me?

(Source: Reddit)

"Why are you booing me? I'm right!" is one of our favorite quotes from the infamous Eric Andre Show. Hannibal Buress's quote has lots of great uses, but clearly this isn't one of them.
