Reddit's /r/moldymemes contains naturally deep-fried content cemented into pixelation through multiple screenshots. Moldy memes are old, stale, and somehow so popular that people don't care just how distorted their pixels are. They'll repost them anyway, further molding the meme until it's distorted far beyond recognition.

Moldy memes provide an odd glimpse into the past of a meme, showing its lifespan over the years. Like the rings on a tree stump, each layer of mold shows dozens more people who compressed the meme while downloading it and reuploading it, probably trying to claim it was their own but making others roll their eyes due to how obvious the meme stealing is in this case. But while moldy memes are old and frail, there's still something alluring about them. We're not sure what that something is, but they can be funny in a distorted sort of way. See if you can take your eyes off of these 15 images.
