When we go through life, we set certain expectations for things we experience. Our high hopes and optimistic views make for a happier attitude throughout life. Unfortunately though, a lot of the time our expectations are trumped by the realities of life. A lot of the time, the reality of a situation and our expectations for it do not match up and we are left greatly disappointed. Because of this its probably better to just lower your expectations altogether to avoid the disappointment.

This kind of thing seems to happen especially often with food. Things like easy frozen meals always look super appetizing on the front of the box, but as soon as they are opened and made it looks almost nothing like what was advertised in the first place. I guess in a way we can't really expect frozen dinners to be the same quality as a homemade meal, but the way they advertise them as that is still horribly wrong. Reddit's /r/expectationvsreality is full of moments where the expectation of the product outweighed the reality of it, big time. Here are 15 of those times.
