We've all learned to doubt the things people say, especially when doing it via social media. It's hard to assume anything people say online is true in the first place, but when someone awkwardly shimmies away from a confrontation because their "cat ran across the keyboard," it's incredibly obvious that they're making things up. It's like the classic "my friend took my phone and sent you that" excuse. It's never true, and it never works. No one's friends are into confessing feelings to someone else on your behalf. People should really stop making dumb excuses, but they just won't, and it's honestly kind of funny to watch them try.
