Sometimes, companies think relating to youth culture and online humor will earn them some extra clicks on their ads. The problem is, these same advertisers don't seem to understand that they can easily lose their target demographic by spamming the word "sus" everywhere. Memes and ads don't belong together. While some companies have seen success combining the two, this very rarely actually works. Usually, it just gets the companies roasted by a bunch of actual children who didn't want to see these things pop up while they were browsing memes in peace.

No one likes ads to begin with, but if an ad starts with a reference to a now-ignored video game or a bad attempt at using the slang of the younger generation, it reminds us all of that image of Steve Buscemi holding a skateboard, which we all know by the quote "How do you do, fellow kids?" These advertisers messed up. Here are 13 of their most uncomfortable creations.
