There are a lot of bad memes rotting in the comedy cemetery. But sometimes, a questionable meme slips through the cracks and somehow winds up on the "hot" page of /r/memes. We're not sure how these got so many upvotes, but somehow enough people lazily tapped on that button without actually reading that the actually good memes the sub had to offer were buried deep down in new.

It's sad that good memes wind up dying so that these memes can live on, and yet there's just nothing good about these memes in the first place that would warrant such a comeback. Honestly, most are probably reposts from the early 2010s that we'd forgotten about since then. These memes were spotted in the wild, passing as quality content. Whether they ruined themselves with a bad caption or just a generally nonsensical topic, these memes are guilty of ruining any potential they once had. Here are some of the best examples of comedy gone wrong.

This theme is equivalent "suicide", not "homicide". "Comedy homicide" would be making a response to someone else's post that eclipses the original joke.
