12 Sarcastic Thoughts That Actually Make A Lot Of Sense
Retorts are commonplace across all social platforms, especially when people are posting about politics, religion and science. But sometimes, while sarcasm may be the intent of these posts, they actually make for sound arguments to better society. This isn't always easy to find, but once in a while, someone says something ironically that actually makes a lot of sense, and we can't help but agree with them, even though they didn't mean it that way.
Usually, there's some sort of political motivation behind these posts, but they wound up accidentally supporting the other side with a logically sound argument. Other times, they tried to reply to someone with a sarcastic response about what to do next in this (sort of) post-COVID world we now inhabit, but they really just posed some solid advice for a new solution to the problem. Honestly, the ideas people come up with ironically can be pretty great, and if only we could be serious about these things, maybe society would be in much better shape. Here are 12 of our favorite thoughts collected from the subreddit /r/ThisButUnironically. Let's make everything free already!

'Kids are turning to socialism because the current system isn't working for them.'
If you think this is a 'Well, obviously', then you're thinking in binary. That the only other option to something that doesn't work is to switch to the opposite extreme. No. I'd rather fix what we have, than consider implementing an idea that killed about five times more people than the Third Reich in the 20th century.
Thinking that socialism would be a viable alternative to capitalism is like thinking, 'I smoke too much. I should switch to krokodil instead.'

Oof looks like the one on vaccines went down. Probably not ironic enough.

"Everything should be free and no one should have to contribute to society by working" – The person who wrote this trite crap

Would cut down on just how abused the "disability" status is.

These are all simple demands for public healthcare which exist pretty much everywhere on the planet, tried and tested for over 120 years now, except the US and some third world shitholes.
Every single nation with better standard of living than the US (of which they are quite a few, number increasing as US standard of living keeps decaying) has public healthcare. All these people want is for the US to finally join the rest of the world in the 21st century here.
And the people in there are in no way "lazier" than any other just because they don't have to get themselves into crippling debt because they happened to have an accident outside their control.
But when it comes to healthcare it seems that for opponents of it in the US suddenly forget that the rest of the world is a thing.

Do we have to be a Reddit knock-off site? Is this how the site stays relevant?

Its baffling something as generic as Know Your Meme would run so much out of content theyd have to repost reddit posts.
Like isnt there some cringy anime "Meme" where the only punchline is theres an anime girl on it to report on rn?

Not sure, but wouldn't doubt it. The cringe for me is the title when it's just propaganda. But then again these days I'll take a look at cringe just to feel…..
