Some very unhinged Karens have been making their rounds on the internet since the term became popular at the start of the 2020s. They are stereotypically described as white, middle-aged women who act entitled and privileged, whilst also being rude to those around them, whether it be physically in real life or online behind a keyboard.
The term "Karen" is rumored to have originated from the 2004 American comedy movie Mean Girls after the phrase Oh my God, Karen, you can’t just ask someone why they're white became a popular meme. As time has progressed, more and more Karens have been captured in action. This has resulted in many people across all platforms of social media witnessing the truly bizarre behavior of Karens.
