Science is a wonderful tool to use when debating others online, especially if that person is dropping erroneous claims for everyone to see. We can't believe what people claim is scientific fact when it's absolutely made up. Whether they're arguing that the Earth is flat or that measles is nothing to worry about, it's clear that they were shut down in their replies. This tends to happen in a lot of online discussions, but never so perfectly as it does in these scientifically challenged images.

These people are never going to recover from the onslaught of facts that came after they posted. Or, most likely, they'll just ignore the facts and continue claiming the world is shaped like a cube/banana/double helix because they can't see the horizon. But either way, we can't imagine how called out and embarrassed they felt when someone proved them completely wrong with the power of science on their side. Here are 11 of our favorites collected from the subreddit /r/SlaughteredByScience.
