"Hello, I'm a Professor in a movie" is a phrasal template that mocks film cliches. And if you've ever seen a movie, you know there are a lot of cliches. Characters tend to all serve the same roles, especially when they're minor characters or a very specific career stereotype, such as a doctor, lawyer or yes, a professor. You probably didn't even notice these stereotypes existed. Until now, that is.

Now that Twitter users have been creating some interesting parallels between stock characters in all movies, we can see how they're all basically the same, and we love the observations and insights they've shared with us. It's possible you'll never look at a movie the same way again, because now you'll be on the lookout for the common mistakes like these that directors and writers make in creating a character. The template begins "Hello, I'm a [X] in a movie," followed by a bunch of cliches that the cinematic characters perform that differ from those professions in reality.
