Today, we found out Elon Musk has purchased a sizeable share of Twitter stock. Musk, who's very active on Twitter and known for his many memes and Dogecoin promos. But when he claimed this was an effort to promote freedom of speech, not all of us were buying it, and some of us are apprehensive of what this means for the next evolution of Twitter.

Elon Musk now owns 9.2 percent of all Twitter shares, making him the largest shareholder in the company; therefore, the company must appease him as much as possible, which doesn't necessarily mean promoting freedom of speech throughout the platform. Whatever Musk wants from Twitter is now law. In a way, a powerful shareholder has more power over a company than its CEO, and now Musk is the dictator of the social media site. We're all interested in seeing how this unfolds, so here are some of our favorite memes about the big news from Twitter users.
