As everybody knows, color began to enter the world gradually towards the middle of the 1900s. Before that, existence was all in shades of gray and people saw in black-and-white, which was what cameras captured. Historians and scientists still don't know exactly how color entered the picture, but these avid photo artists on Reddit's /r/Colorization speculate what the world of the past might have looked like if it were, indeed, colorful.

Doing colorized history takes a lot of work, and a deep proficiency with photo editing apps.
